Jay..... On a feeder!!!!???

I witnessed something yesterday that I have never seen, and was certain didn't happen.....  I have had a Jay and several Jays at a time visiting my garden and feeding from the Peanut feeder and fat ball feeder. I have always been under the impression that Jays are very secretive birds, that like the cover of woodland, feeding on acorns etc and rarely breaking cover. As you will have seen from a post last week HERE, I have had them in the open feeding on the ground in the garden and scrapping with the magpies, but this week I witnessed them actually up on the feeders, sods law first time I saw it no camera ready, but it is now left primed ready for such occurrences, and low and behold it happened again, this time I got the shots to prove it, although the light wasn't great they turned out fair to middling!
It has pretty much dispelled my belief that they are very secretive birds, something the RSPB makes clear in its DESCRIPTION , I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it myself, i'm just interested now to know if anyone else has witnessed this???

This one appeared to have a gold bead in its mouth

    1. Some spelling errors first time round, sorry.

Unusual this Gary, but we are becoming accustomed to seeing all sorts of behaviour from birds with so many people putting food out for them, we have Magpies coming to our feeders which I've never heard of myself before, its called opportunism isn't it.

  2. I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty
penny? I'm not very internet smart so I'm not 100% certain.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos

  3. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues
of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of exclusive content I've either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any solutions to help reduce content from being ripped off? I'd genuinely appreciate it.
