Hi Gary, good series of images on the Great Spotted Woodpecker. Thanks for stopping by my blog and adding me to your blog list, I've done the same. I also have a friend back in Maine who has a site you may also enjoy http://mainenatureimages.com/ Best regards, Mike
Cheers Warren, glad you liked the Woodpecker shots, wanted some more 'natural' ones, just need to keep plugging away! Will look out for your garden shots.
Thanks Findlay, the Woodpeckers are really shy, I have feeders in my back garden with branches placed around them to get more natural photos, but they are very nervous when they land and the slightest movement normally scares them off, but with a little patience I am starting to get the photos, just need them to hang around more on the branches. Glad you liked the waxwings, they are beautiful birds, sadly we didn't get many over here last winter, hopefully we will this coming one!!
Great shots Gary.
