As Sharon and I were getting over colds a day in the high fells wasnt that appealing, so we decided to head for the coast, and to the RSPB reserve at Conwy, not been here before and although the pools on the reserve were relatively quiet it was a beautiful walk round on a lovely peaceful morning. After lunch, and after treating myself to a new spotting scope in the RSPB shop, and Sharon some new binoculars, we went into Llandudno and up the Great Orme.

ReplyDeleteAnother series of quality images, not least those of Conway Castle, an impressive building with some wonderful history attached to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for info on the Stonechats on Great Orme Gary.
Thanks Pete, there seems to be a lot of Stonechats down here, wherever we walk on the fells we tend to see them, or at least hear them.
DeleteGary. Superb selection of images..New scope and bins...what a great time you had. Hope the colds have gone away.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian, still well and truly stuck with a cold!!!!
DeleteThanks for reading the article. I can't wait to get back to RSPB Conwy. My favourite shot in this blog is the blackbird just about to bite the juicy blackberry. We were surprise to see so many blackberries as all ours finished weeks ago. From Findlay
