Last Thursday I made the long journey up to the Farne Islands, I just adore these Islands and the boat trip across. It was a glorious day, wall to wall sunshine and clear blue skies. I vowed that on this visit to take in the whole atmosphere of the islands a lot more, but I still managed to rattle off 2000+ shots in the 4/5 hours I was on the Islands. This first post is some shots of the many Grey Seals that inhabit the Islands, cumbersome on land but ever so graceful in the clear blue waters of the islands. Seabird shots to follow later.
The whole trip must have been a great experience Gary, but up front and personal with the Seals must have been very special for you. It goes without saying, some excellent images to take home with you and share with us....Thanks Gary.
ReplyDeleteGary. You obviously had a fabulous time on The Farnes. Wonderful images of the seals...can't wait to see the puffins etc. etc.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to follow in you footsteps probably later this month and am looking forward to great wether and images. May contact you for info.
Thanks for the comments Pete and Brian, it is a great place and good to go back again, still working through the bird images will hopefully have some on soon. Brian - I hope you are blessed with the glorious weather I had, and please do give me a shout if I can help. Gary
