Earlier today Sharon and I had a short visit to RSPB Burton Mere, a new reserve that has only been open just over a year, but is already proving itself a great place to visit, There wasn't a lot about really, but I was quite keen to get some shots of a Water Rail, and low and behold this normally secretive and difficult to spot bird appeared briefly out of the Reeds, and I managed a few decent shots.
A great bird to get a decent image of Gary, and thats a very decent image, lovely light :-)
ReplyDeleteCongradulations, Gary! You got some superb shots of this extremely handsome bird.
ReplyDeleteReally lucky there, and you took the advantage to its extreme....like you do!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Gary.
Lovely photos of a 'difficult' bird Gary.
ReplyDeleteWow, they are great shots. We could hear one last weekend at Marbury, but never got to see it. Findlay was begging to go to Burton Mere this weekend, but we had way to much to do, so I just hope (in the nicest way) that he doesn't see this post!
